Top runners from various fields who share the potential for making world-class rum and the desire to contribute to the local community support the creation of ARCABUZ products.

Kitamura Mori, who has a long history of experience in local marketing, is the project organizer. Okuyama Kiyoyuki, a world-renowned designer who is also committed to the development of local Japanese products, is in charge of the design of ARCABUZ's bottle and logo.

Nakayama Atsushi, who is well-versed in rum around the world, is in charge of everything from ARCABUZ's concept work to flavor creation. Kosho Brewery, which has a solid fan base both in Japan and overseas for its shochu and whiskey, is involved in providing guidance on manufacturing techniques. We are learning the essentials of distilled spirits production from our predecessors, who are also from Kagoshima Prefecture.

日本唯一の「前掛け専門店」、西村和弘氏が代表を務める。ニューヨーク日本国総領事館での展示会や大英博物館での物販など、世界的に活躍する。「ARCABUZ」のボトルサック制作を担当。

明治16年創業、焼酎を中心とした鹿児島の酒類醸造会社。焼酎を樽で貯蔵する、樽貯蔵焼酎のパイオニア。 2017年よりウイスキーも製造する。「ARCABUZ」製造の技術指導で参画。

Bottle Designer

Representative of KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN. A world-renowned industrial designer who was the first Japanese to design a Ferrari. He is in charge of the design of the "ARCABUZ" bottle and logo.

Concept Work

Owner and bartender of the rum bar "Bar Lamp" in Ginza, Tokyo. He actively visits distilleries overseas and is well versed in rums from around the world. He is in charge of everything from the concept work to flavor creation for "ARCABUZ."

Professor at Cyber ​​University's School of IT Studies and visiting professor at Akita University's Institute for Industrial and Academic Collaboration. Former editor-in-chief of Nikkei Trendy. Active as a product journalist, he is the organizer of this project.

He also serves as the CEO of Daito Sugar Co., Ltd., a sugar manufacturer in the Kanto region. While commuting between Kanto and Tanegashima, he became fascinated with the people and culture of Tanegashima. He began producing rum with the desire to pass on the island's richness to the next generation and to promote the sugar cane industry.
